From Challenge to Solution: Educational Support Practice with Youth

This 5-day course equips educators, psychologists, and school leaders with practical, evidence-based tools to manage youth psychosocial challenges. Participants learn to transition from crisis reaction to sustainable prevention through emotion management, relationship building, and effective inter-institutional cooperation.

Grounded in an integrated psychological approach adapted for schools, this course addresses the neurobiological roots of youth behavioral difficulties. The training covers: emotion de-escalation protocols, managing digital risks (cyberbullying, problematic internet use), and preventing psychoactive substance use via motivational interviewing. It also includes on-site visits to a school dormitory and a Social Services Department to observe group dynamics and case management models in real life. The program concludes with international intervision, where participants analyze complex cases and develop a Personal Action Plan for their home institutions.

The course uses a highly interactive blended approach. Theoretical sessions provide neurobiological and psychological foundations, immediately followed by practical workshops involving role-play, simulation, and group intervision. A unique feature includes on-site observation visits (school dormitory and Social Services Dept.) for real-world context. Participants’ learning is assessed formatively throughout the course via collaborative digital tools (Mentimeter, Padlet) and peer-discussions. The final assessment is the completion of a Personal Action Plan, followed by a self-evaluation questionnaire and group feedback round-up.

We provide all materials necessary during the course. After the course, we send participants learning resources that they can adapt and use in their work.
